Get them. They show individuality and they will look amazing. I love dread locks on everybody because you never really see them anymore. Why does everyone want to look the same anyway. I think the best way is to go to a salon or read about them online to insure you get them the way that you want.

Look up pictures of mick hudnall (simply red) from the 90s. He appeared in at least one video ('Stars') with a head full of dreadlocks.

He looked good with them, IMO. But I doubt that many white folk would. Some black folk I've seen with them should just shave their heads and start again.

Dreads cause all sorts of hair problems including dandruff and lice! You get that stuff because your hair isn't washed for weeks and I didn't know it myself until one of the girls told me she had to undo her hair because of the lice problem. No wonder its not popular anymore!
